Can you actually learn sailing from an app?
You can’t learn the feel of the helm from a screen — and we won’t pretend otherwise. What you can learn is everything that makes your first hours on the water count: the language, the wind, the rules, what happens next and why. Arrive knowing that, and your time aboard is spent sailing, not decoding.
Is this a certification?
No. SailStarter teaches fundamentals; it doesn’t certify anyone and isn’t affiliated with any sailing authority. It’s the preparation that makes a real course — or your first invitation to crew — go well.
Why not just watch YouTube?
